In a world dictated by numbers, Livada Wellness believes in compassionate, individualized care. We understand patients do not always follow textbook symptoms and each patient requires their own individual treatment plan. Livada Wellness provides empathetic and competent care as well as close follow-up to ensure each patient is treated appropriately.

Semaglutide is medication that mimics the GLP-1 hormone causing increased insulin production, lowered glucagon secretion, and decreased appetite. Semaglutide slows intestinal motility so you will feel fuller longer after meals.
Semaglutide is a once weekly injection given at a 45 degree angle in the fatty tissue (subcutaneous) using an insulin needle.
Semaglutide is the active pharmaceutical ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy. Ozempic (marketed for diabetes) and Wegovy (marketed for weight loss) are the two name brands for semaglutide. The semaglutide packages are shipped from a reputable compounding pharmacy in Arizona.
If you don’t have access to an FDA-cleared sharps container, you can use a sturdy container that can’t be punctured. One example is a laundry detergent bottle. Use household containers, such as plastic detergent bottles, only if the lid is secured with heavy-duty tape and the words, “Do Not Recycle,” are written on the container with a permanent marker. Never place the container in the recycle bin. Containers can only be disposed of in the trash.
The medication vial will be shipped cold to your house. Semaglutide should be stored in the refrigerator away from light. Patient will be educated on proper technique for drawing medication into the insulin syringe as well as proper technique for self subcutaneous injection. Telehealth (video) or telephone follow-up can be completed for injections.
